Restoration of chasis - redone with new sections to replace all rusted parts.
Side Body parts dented ( tank & mudguards rebuild from scratch ) and repainted in original silver colur with chrome decals. Chrome areas buffed and redone.
Engine rebuilt with sourcing old parts and refurbishing of crank, rods and cylinder head.
Suspension rebuilt with replacement of seals and oil.
New rims fabricated keeping old rims design in mind.
New brake drums fabricated with new brake lining fabrication with brake levers & piping.
Inspiration :Post being parked in the factory in 1965 this bike saw daylight in Dec 2008, a long 34 years and was in quite a rundown condition. Handed over again by a son this time. This is a true blue restoration job with more time spent trying to get a 1965 dynamo and a timing gear than it took to rebuild the whole bike. This is old charm restored to its full glory and nothing else. Instead of building new as is the case in vintage custom rebuilds, here the emphasis was on restoration. Customisation undertaken :
